![]() I would not recommend this to every shifter fan.Īlso, if you aren't a fan of erotica, convince your book club to go another way. The shifter part of the plot was very small and not especially described. Someone who will notice when she claims it to be Montana and then later declares it Tennessee because they are not the same at all. But if we're going to suggest that erotica equals a freer mind set, could someone please explain to me why technical rape or sexual slavery are so often themes? It doesn't compute to me.įor future books, Rebecca Elyon needs a good, trustworthy editor. Knowing that this sort of story line is typical for erotica, I'm picking my rating accordingly. The whole concept doesn't work in my mind. Stranger still, when she eventually is turned in, her parents come to the castle in person, even though they are supposed to be at war with this country. Not only does she not hesitate, she's excited about becoming a bed slave, being forced to sleep with strangers at their whim. Maybe I could see that if she'd starved a little or something, but there is literally one day in there. She then thinks nothing strange of becoming a bed slave for a year in another country. Aria basically jumps off a cliff to escape a world where she will be forced to marry a stranger (who apparently is known for violence) because she'd rather die than be enslaved. I have a little issue with the overall plot though. The sex scenes, which most people who like this genre probably get it for are well written and not so far-fetched as to be impossible. The second story has such a jarring continuity error that I couldn't finish it (and it is rare that I can't finish a book), so I'll stick to the first story for the remainder of the review. The title story has some errors but it's passable. Does it have a low error count? Well, again this book has two stories. Let me start by saying that if you love erotica, you'll probably love this book. This really isn't my genre, so keep that in mind for the rating. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion. Half-Brother and Bastard Prince Tristan of Coffenvale comes home after years of duty only to see many women he has known, yes he is a randy wolf/man, until?Ī copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. However his father the King has told him he must pick a wife. As he's checking out the serving girls he is drawn to one, no one would due but her. Prince Soren of Coffenvale is a Wolf Shifter and heir to the crown. Aurora, Aria's mother was famous for constantly saying over and over again, “A daughter is born to be sold.” And so her father the King announced Aria's betrothal, suicide was better so she jumped off a cliff. Women are treated worse than a piece of furniture and could be broken many times at anytime. Definitely do recommend this book.Īria Princess of Riverglen is a White Wolf Shifter but it is forbidden for a women to run as a Wolf.
